It sure seems that television and magazines have made it their job to make us hate ourselves, especially teenagers, so that if we buy the right product we can be normal, or worth loving, or fit in with the crowd, or whatever.

Forget the media hype, the preoccupation with the trivial. Life is too short to worry about having the “right” curtains or using the “right” aftershave. People will still love you if you don’t have these things.
